Fundamentals of modeling

In Aeneis, you model business processes using model objects, attributes and drawings and their links to each other and to other model contents. In this way, you create a complete enterprise model.

Types of modeling

In Aeneis you can model in different ways.

Graphical Modeling:
Graphical modeling is done in diagrams and drawings.

See also: Everything about diagrams and graphical modeling is described in Diagrams.

Tabular Modeling:
Tabular modeling is done in the Portal in processes. With tabular modeling, you model the process flow in a table. The corresponding diagram is created automatically.

See also: Everything about tabular modeling is described in SmartModel and SmartEdit.

Modeling in the model overview:
In the model overview, you build up the enterprise model in a tree structure using model objects.

See also: How to model with model objects in WebModeller is described under Modeling in the model overview.
